Is it permissible to pray at home due to an obsessive-compulsive disorder that compels one to hit others?

Congregational prayer is obligatory, and there are excuses that permit one to forgo it and pray at home. Among these is eating something with an offensive odor, such as garlic and onions, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) prohibition of anyone who has eaten them from approaching the mosque, and because angels are offended by what offends humans. Anything that harms worshippers in the mosque excuses its perpetrator from attending the congregation. This includes psychological illness where there is a fear that the patient might assault worshippers physically or verbally. In such a case, the person should pray at home until Allah grants them healing, and they must strive diligently for treatment.
