How can one return to the pleasure of Allah and get rid of the sin of taking an usurious loan, and be sure that repentance is accepted, especially with the feeling of Allah's wrath and the non-response to supplication?
Borrowing with usury is one of the gravest sins. However, no matter how great a servant's sin, Allah's mercy encompasses all things, and no sin is too great for Him to forgive. The one who repents from a sin is like one who has no sin. The conditions for repentance are to cease the sin, resolve not to return to it, and regret having committed it. If you can repay the debt to reduce the usury, then do so. There is no harm in using the house and its furniture. You must be sincere in your repentance and strive to perform good deeds.
