Is it possible to endure and seek reward from Allah and abandon masturbation for one who is physically and psychologically harmed by abandoning it, knowing that some scholars permit it in this case?

Young people are advised to fear Allah and obey Him, and to marry if able. If one is unable, then he should fast and strive against his lower self. Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, declared masturbation forbidden, but he permitted it out of religious necessity, such as fear of falling into zina (fornication/adultery), or out of physical necessity, such as fear of harm to the body if excess is not expelled.
