What is the ruling on becoming attached to a permissible worldly matter that becomes more difficult each time one seeks Allah's guidance concerning it?

Istikhara is recommended when embarking on a matter where the right course of action is unclear. If you perform Istikhara, entrust the matter to Allah, and whatever Allah chooses for you is good. It is recommended to repeat Istikhara if the right course of action does not become clear to you, and the evidence for this is that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he supplicated, he would supplicate three times. Know that if something happens contrary to what a person wishes, it does not mean that it was not good. Allah the Almighty said: "But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not." If the one performing Istikhara detaches himself from his personal desires and entrusts the matter to Allah, then there is no meaning to his sorrow or grief.
