Is the Maliki madhhab the most correct because its knowledge was gathered from the people of Madinah?

All four schools of thought (madhhabs) are based on the Sunnah and the following of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Their aim is to seek the truth from the Qur'an and the Sunnah. There is no one madhhab that is generally more correct than another. Rather, preference is given among the madhhabs in specific issues based on the strength of the evidence from the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Imam Malik's collection of knowledge from the people of Madinah is a distinguishing feature of his madhhab, but preference depends on conformity with the evidence, not on the original collection itself.
