Does listening to all sheikhs affect comprehension, and should one heed the advice of those who warn against certain sheikhs because they belong to a strict or non-strict sect?

A Muslim must respect the upright and pious people of knowledge, and safeguard their tongue from slandering their honor, backbiting them, and exposing their mistakes. A Muslim should acquire knowledge from anyone who possesses the required conditions, such as sound belief, freedom from deviance, and understanding and piety in religion.
