ما هي الأوقات التي لا تجوز فيها الصلاة؟
Allah has obligated prayer upon believers at known times, and it is not permissible to delay it except for one who is asleep without negligence or one who has forgotten. Whoever misses a prayer must make it up immediately upon remembering it, even if it is during times of prohibition, unless they fear that the time for the current prayer will expire. In that case, they should pray the current prayer first, then the missed one.
The agreed-upon times of prohibition are three: sunrise, sunset, and from Fajr prayer until sunrise. Scholars have differed regarding the time of midday (zawal) and after Asr. The preponderant opinion is that there are five times of prohibition, namely: 1. The time from sunrise until the sun has risen high. 2. The time when the sun is directly overhead before midday (zawal). 3. The time when the sun turns yellow and is close to setting until it sets. 4. After the Asr prayer until the sun sets. 5. After the Fajr prayer until the sun rises.
Absolute supererogatory prayers are not permissible during times of prohibition. Exceptions to this include prayers with specific reasons, such as greeting the mosque (Tahiyyat al-Masjid), the two rak'ahs of circumambulation (Tawaf), and making up missed obligatory prayers.
