Is it permissible to take revenge on someone who defrauded me and obtained a court ruling to imprison me unjustly, knowing that this might destroy my life?

If you have been wronged, present the proofs that establish the falsehood of the one who wronged you. If you are unable to do so, then know that Allah will restore your rights on the Day of Resurrection. If you seek retribution, do not exceed what is just, such as the duration of imprisonment or the amount of money you were ordered to pay, provided that no additional harm is inflicted. While your right to retribution is established, forgiveness is superior.
