Is it permissible for a man to gift his share of the apartment to his wife when his parents and siblings are alive?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

There is no objection to a husband gifting his wife whatever he wishes from his wealth, provided two conditions are met: First, that the gift is made while he is in good health and of sound mind. Second, that possession and acquisition take place. The gift is valid if it meets these conditions, unless the intention behind it is to deprive the other heirs, for then it would be considered a forbidden stratagem to invalidate a right, and it is among the actions of the Jews for which they deserved to be cursed.
