Is it obligatory to disobey one's parents and enroll in a college of Sharia, or to obey them and study secular sciences, in the event that parents object to the study of Islamic sciences?

If it is possible to combine parental approval with the pursuit of religious knowledge, then that is best, for the satisfaction of the parents and for benefiting from knowledge and experience to serve both religious and worldly matters. If combining them is not possible, then one must strive to convince the parents of the virtue of studying religious knowledge and enrolling in a Faculty of Sharia, due to the benefit therein for the student and for the people, provided the intention is pure and one strives diligently in seeking knowledge, teaches people, and calls them to goodness.
