Is a student who abandons secular studies in favor of seeking religious knowledge, thereby going against his parents' wishes for him to complete his secular education, sinful?

Obeying one's parents is obligatory in what they command, such as completing one's studies, as long as it does not involve disobedience to Allah, and as long as it benefits the child and their parents, and does not cause harm.
