Is it permissible for a traveler to shorten and combine prayers in the country he traveled to, where he owns a house?

It is permissible to shorten (qasr) and combine (jam') prayers in the country of travel if the man does not have a wife there, and he does not intend to reside for four full days, excluding the days of arrival and departure. However, if he intends to reside for four full days, or if he has a wife in that country, then it is not permissible for him to shorten or combine prayers.
