What is the ruling on a person leaving their country and family during a time of tribulation?
The ruling on this varies depending on the situation, and a man is responsible for his household, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every one of you is a shepherd, and every one of you is responsible for his flock. The Imam is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. A man is a shepherd over his family, and he is responsible for his flock." And his, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Indeed, Allah will question every shepherd about what he was entrusted with, whether he preserved it or neglected it, even a man will be questioned about his household." A man is a shepherd by upholding the rights of his family concerning sustenance, good companionship, and their discipline and education. It is enough sin for a person to neglect those whom he is obliged to support, and this indicates the obligation to care for those whom Allah has made it incumbent upon you to spend on.
