Is the wife's failure to initiate marital relations, her refusal of "oral sex," and her lack of effort to renew sexual situations considered a dereliction of her legitimate duties towards her husband?
It is beautiful and good for both spouses to do everything that contributes to a good relationship and the continuation of the marriage, as long as it does not violate common practice or conflict with Islamic law. This includes adorning oneself and beautifying oneself, and avoiding anything that leads to aversion, such as bad odors. Jurists have stipulated the obligation for a woman to remove anything that causes disgust, such as odors and hair, and the husband has the right to compel her to do so. However, a wife is not religiously obligated to request intercourse from her husband out of shyness. Both spouses must be keen on mutual respect and understanding in their marital life.
