Does sorcery have an effect on marital relations?

Sorcery is divided into two types: sorcery of illusion and deception of the eyes, whereby a person sees things as other than what they truly are, such as seeing a rope as a snake. The other type is sorcery of separation and attachment (love/hate), and it is performed through knots, blowing upon them, and satanic concoctions. It affects relationships between people, such as a man hating his wife or vice-versa. For this reason, Allah legislated seeking refuge from the evil of those who blow on knots and from all evil.
