Is it permissible to use Quranic verses such as "It neither fattens nor avails against hunger" and "From it We created you, and into it We shall return you" to cite examples, and not for mockery or disrespect?

There is no harm in using the Quran for illustration for a valid purpose, such as reminding or giving examples, provided that it is not done in a manner of mockery or ridicule. If it is done in such a way, then it is an apostasy from Islam, for Allah Almighty says: (Say: "Is it Allah and His Verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?" Make no excuses; you have disbelieved after your belief). The Quran must be glorified and respected, and this does not preclude using it for illustration in a decent and good manner.
