How is inheritance divided among one son and four daughters?

If a person dies leaving only one son and four daughters, their inheritance is divided among them by 'asabah (agnatic succession), with the male receiving the share of two females, in accordance with the verse: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." The inheritance is thus divided into six shares: two shares for the son, and one share for each daughter. It is important to note that matters of inheritance are serious and complex, and it is not sufficient to rely solely on a fatwa. Rather, the matter must be presented to the Sharia courts for investigation and to ensure that there are no other heirs, wills, debts, or rights that take precedence over the rights of the heirs.
