How is inheritance divided among 4 sons and 4 daughters?

If a person passes away leaving four sons and four daughters only, their estate is distributed among them by way of ta'sib (agnatic inheritance), with the male receiving the share of two females, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." The inheritance is divided into twelve shares: each son receives two shares, and each daughter receives one share. The matter of estates must be referred to the Sharia courts, as there might be another heir, or bequests, or debts, or other rights that take precedence over the right of the heirs.
