Is it considered a virtue in the sight of Allah to remain with a wife who is of low cultural standing, despite her being obedient and committed?

You have testified to your wife's good qualities, her religious commitment, and her husband's satisfaction with her. This is a fundamental requirement for choosing a wife, as the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, advised, "So choose the religious one, and you will prosper." As long as she is committed and obedient, keeping her brings great reward and the sweetness of faith, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "and that a person loves not but for the sake of Allah." Her ignorance can be remedied by teaching and does not justify divorce. "No believing man should hate a believing woman; if he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another."
