What is the ruling regarding a religious, veiled wife who is committed to her acts of worship and is intelligent, and who has financial means, but who dominates and acts superior towards her husband, refusing to respect his status and role in the family, using a strong tone and stubbornness in her speech and arguments with him, even though the husband treats her with kindness and benevolence and does not return evil with evil, thus disregarding the recommendations of the Islamic religion concerning the treatment of the husband?

A woman was created deficient in intellect and religion, and there is a crookedness in her, and the most crooked part of her is her tongue. Straightening her crookedness may lead to her separation. A man should not demand from his wife righteousness beyond her capacity, nor should he allow her to insult him or squander his rights. Rather, he should treat her with affection and mercy, and be stern with her to the extent of her transgression if necessary. A wife's neglect of her husband's rights and duties, and her arrogance towards him, despite her devotion to worship, is an ignorance of the objectives of religion and may invalidate her deeds. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A woman does not fulfill the right of her Lord until she fulfills the entire right of her husband." A woman's attempt to compete with a man and take his place will not succeed, for each of them has a nature and a role. Allah has granted men authority over women, and has forbidden each gender from wishing for what the other has been favored with. True competition should be in obedience to Allah.
