Is it permissible for a woman to give birth in the mosque, and was Ali ibn Abi Talib born in the Kaaba, and how can she enter the mosque while in a state of postnatal bleeding (nifas) and impurity?

It is not permissible for a menstruating woman (ha'idh) or a woman in postpartum bleeding (nifas (definition)) to remain in the mosque. As for the news of the birth of Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, in the Kaaba, it is weak. The frequently narrated (mutawatir) reports state that Hakim ibn Hizam was born there, not Ali. Even if the news were authentic, it would not be considered a legal proof (hujjah shar'iyyah), because the birth occurred before prophethood. Mosques must be revered by purifying them and safeguarding them from impurities, and a birth occurring within them necessitates this [purification].
