According to the Hanbali school of thought, what is the ruling on a menstruating or postpartum woman entering the mosque?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

According to the Hanbalis, it is permissible for a menstruating woman (Haa’id) or a woman in post-natal bleeding (Nufasaa’) to pass through a mosque if she is certain she will not defile it. However, it is forbidden for her to remain inside. It is permissible for her to enter for a need, or to pass through it if she is certain she will not defile it, unless she performs ablution (wudu’), in which case she is permitted to remain inside.
