Did the Messenger (ﷺ) abandon the Friday prayer due to weather conditions (20 cm of snow)?
It has not been reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, abandoned the Friday prayer due to rain or snow, but rather he left it while traveling. It is permissible to forgo the Friday prayer and congregational prayer due to heavy rain, cold wind, or harmful snow that makes it difficult to go, based on the of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, who ordered his muezzin on a rainy day to say: "Pray in your homes." The Hanbalis considered snow among the excuses that permit abandoning the Friday prayer and congregational prayer. However, for those who are not bothered by snow and it does not hinder their activities, snow is not an excuse for them.
