What is the ruling on emotional love, infatuation, and embraces between girls in schools? And are embraces devoid of lust permissible? And is it obligatory to lower the gaze if that is impermissible?

Love between girls, if it is for the sake of Allah, is desirable and praiseworthy. Hugging between them is permissible when there is no suspicion. Some scholars dislike it except upon returning from a journey. However, if love goes beyond the bounds of natural inclination and reaches infatuation and enjoyment, then this is forbidden and a deviation. Girls must be forbidden from this evil and one must lower their gaze from them.
