Is it permissible to create a page on the internet to publish classical Arabic and Gulf dialect romantic poems?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

If the page adheres to the Islamic legal guidelines and is free from indecency and forbidden speech, such as harming Muslims, or romancing a specific woman, or disparaging Islam, or spreading deviant ideas, or propagating obscenity and explicit flirtation; then there is no harm in it. If it includes refined literature, chaste words, admonitions and wisdom, and encourages goodness and praiseworthy characteristics, it may be beneficial and recommended; based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, some poetry contains wisdom," and the saying of Al-Shafi'i: "Its good is like good speech, and its bad is like bad speech." Poetry was recited in the presence of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he did not condemn it.
