Is a father entitled to withhold financial support from his daughters and wife, even though they are under his guardianship and in his home, and he has a financial income?

A man's division of his wealth among his children and wife during his lifetime is considered a gift (hibah) and not an inheritance. Justice must be observed among the children in this division, with the male receiving a share equal to that of the female, or a share equal to that of two females. The gift is completed when each person takes possession of their share and disposes of it as an owner would. As for the father's refusal to provide for his children, if any of them are wealthy, then their maintenance is not obligatory upon him. However, the maintenance of children who have no wealth and are unable to earn a living, such as minors, is obligatory. If a child has wealth or is capable of earning, then the father is not obligated to provide for them, nor are the rest of the children obligated to provide for them.
