The question

Is it permissible to stone before noon on the day of hastening (yaum al-ta'ajjal), and what are the consequences if doing so is wrong? Is it permissible to wash the ihram garment during Hajj? Is it valid to stand at Arafat in a state of impurity, and does Allah accept supplications if there is impurity on the ihram garment?

The answer

It is permissible to perform the stoning (rami) before zawal (midday) on the twelfth day of Dhul-Hijjah according to some scholars, if there is a need for it, and no دم (expiatory sacrifice) is incurred. It is permissible for a pilgrim in to wash clothes if the washing is free of perfumed substances. If they are washed with perfume out of ignorance or forgetfulness, no دم is incurred. If you pray with impurity out of ignorance or forgetfulness, you do not have to repeat the prayer according to some scholars. Purity is not a condition for the validity of standing at Arafat; it is recommended to be pure, but lack of purity does not prevent the acceptance of supplication.
