What is the estimated time for "then was guided" in the Holy Verse: "And indeed, I am Forgiving to him who repents and believes and does righteousness and then is guided"?

The Almighty's saying: "then he was guided aright" contains several interpretations, among them: he remained steadfast in his faith until he died upon it, and did not doubt his faith; he adhered to the Sunnah and the Jama'ah; he adopted the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him; he performed righteous deeds; he sought knowledge to guide him in how to act; he knew that there was a reward for that and a punishment for neglecting it; and it also refers to the guardianship of the Prophet's household.

The best of these interpretations is: remaining steadfast in faith until death. The word "then" indicates a delay between being guided aright and what preceded it. It signifies the distinction between the two ranks, as the rank of steadfastness upon goodness is distinct from the rank of goodness itself, for it is higher and more excellent.
