Why does the Holy Qur’an specifically mention the Children of Israel to the exclusion of other nations?

Allah mentioned many nations and peoples in the Qur’an other than the Children of Israel. The Children of Israel were mentioned more frequently than others for two reasons: First, most of the prophets mentioned in the Qur’an were from among them. Second, some of them resided in the Arabian Peninsula and opposed Islam. Therefore, the Qur’an recounted their stories to establish proof against them and to warn Muslims about them, due to their well-known tendency to break covenants and spread corruption in the land.
