Is providing household appliances (such as a refrigerator or a stove) to needy young people considered an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah)?

Helping some young people buy a refrigerator or a gas appliance is a good deed, but it is not considered a perpetual charity (Sadaqah Jariyah). What is meant by perpetual charity is an endowment (waqf) whose yield and benefit are utilized while its principal remains intact.
