Is it permissible to pray in a car while sitting, motioning for bowing and prostrating?

Standing in the obligatory prayer is a pillar that may not be abandoned except due to inability. Whoever intentionally abandons it, their prayer is invalid. The evidence for this is the hadith of Imran ibn Husayn: "Pray standing; if you are unable, then sitting; and if you are unable, then on your side." It is not permissible to delay the prayer beyond its prescribed time, as Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a book [to be recited] at fixed times." Prayer must be performed at its due time, standing, in any pure place, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The earth has been made for me a mosque and a purification. So, any man from my nation whom the time of prayer overtakes, let him pray." Excluded from this are places where prayer is forbidden, such as graveyards and usurped land.
