Is it permissible to perform the obligatory prayer sitting in a car when there is no place to perform it in a non-Islamic country?

It is not permissible to pray while sitting during a fard (obligatory) prayer except for one who is unable to stand. Standing is a rukn (pillar) that is not waived except due to inability. One can pray standing in a car or on the ground. Shyness of people does not justify abandoning standing, for Allah is more deserving of shyness. If you fear harm and cannot find a safe place to pray standing, then it is permissible to pray while sitting in the car, gesturing for bowing and prostration.
