The seditions of misguidance raise their devilish heads among people, and their emergence from our own kind is even more dire and bitter. The sedition of the aforementioned individual (Muhammad Shahrour) is clear, for he has deviated from the methodology of knowledge and followed his whims in interpreting the word of Allah. His greatest calamities, as found in his book "The Book and The Quran," can be summarized as follows:

1. His reliance solely on a linguistic methodology to determine the meanings of words, and his interpretation of the Quran based on it. This methodology is rejected because the Sharia has added new meanings to linguistic terms. 2. His belief that the application of Islam by the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, is not binding upon the Ummah. 3. His rejection of the Sunnah as an elucidator and elaborator of the Quran. 4. His reliance solely on his own intellect in interpreting the Quran, which led him to interpretations unprecedented before him.

Therefore, we warn the Ummah against circulating, reading, or promoting this book. It is imperative to be wary of it and to reject it.
