What is the ruling on a person making long-term future plans for himself, to organize his life and his religious and worldly goals, despite his knowledge that everything is by Allah’s divine decree and destiny?

The ruling on planning is based on its objectives. If the objectives are permissible or recommended, then planning for them is likewise. It does not contradict reliance on Allah (tawakkul) or belief in divine decree and destiny. Allah has established His system by implementing means while relying on Him, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in both. Be keen on what benefits you, seek help from Allah, and do not lose heart."
