The chain of transmission for the , "Nothing extends one's life except righteousness, and nothing repels divine decree except supplication, and indeed a man is deprived of provision because of a sin he commits," is not strong. Al-Albani graded it as (good) without the phrase "and indeed a man." Shu'ayb al-Arna'ut also graded it as hasan through other chains, again without this phrase, and he weakened its chain of transmission.
