The question

Does touching the urine of rabbits raised at home invalidate wudu? Is it sinful to cause pain to an animal during its treatment? Am I sinful if an animal dies during its treatment due to my insufficient knowledge? And what about slaughtering a pregnant female animal without prior knowledge of its condition?

The answer

The rabbit is an animal that is permissible to eat by scholarly consensus. As long as its meat is permissible, its urine is pure according to the most authoritative opinion, and its urine does not invalidate the ablution of anyone who touches it. There is no blame for an animal's pain due to medical treatment, because it is for its improvement. There is no sin in an animal dying during treatment without intent, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah has forgiven my nation for their mistakes, forgetfulness, and what they are forced to do." Slaughtering an animal that has a fetus in its womb is permissible.
