What is the ruling on one who broke their fast for a number of days in Ramadan due to the hardship of work and the change in weather, then fasted the following Ramadan without making up the days they missed?

Fasting Ramadan (definition) is one of the pillars of Islam, and Allah Almighty has made it obligatory upon believers to achieve piety. It is forbidden for you to break your fast in Ramadan due to work, as work is not an excuse. You can work at night, or perform light work that allows you to fast, or temporarily leave your work. If you broke your fast for some days in Ramadan and did not make them up before the next Ramadan, then you must make them up and feed a poor person for each day. You must repent, seek forgiveness, and regret what has passed, and remember Allah Almighty's reckoning of you.
