Does the reward of a Muslim who was patient at the first shock disappear if he did not act well after misfortunes accumulated upon him?

Patience at the first shock is complete patience, which leads to great reward due to the immense difficulty involved. Impatience, however, does not avert the calamity; rather, it magnifies it, forfeits the reward of patience and submission, gladdens the enemy, saddens the friend, angers the Lord, pleases Satan, nullifies the reward, and weakens the soul. As for patience and seeking reward from Allah, they exhaust Satan and send him away disgraced, please the Lord, gladden the friend, sadden the enemy, and bequeath delight and joy. And for the patient one, it is sufficient that a House of Praise will be built for him in Paradise.
