Do mental illnesses indicate a weakness in a servant's religious commitment, and does ruqyah prevent the use of psychiatric medication?

Psychological or physical illness is a trial by which Allah tests His servant's patience, certainty, and contentment. It is not a weakness in the servant or a deficiency in his faith. Rather, it is a door to reward and recompense if the servant is patient, content, and takes the legitimate means of treatment. Psychological illnesses affect believers and non-believers alike. The sick person should deal with them like other afflictions, and there is no contradiction between ruqyah (Islamic incantations) and medications, as both are means of healing by Allah's permission. The sick person should not fall short in either of the two.
