The answer

Worrying thoughts (Waswasa) come from Satan, who tries to confuse the servant in his worship, corrupt it for him, and come between him and his Lord. To get rid of them, it is advised to do what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded Uthman ibn Abi al-As: seeking refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan and spitting lightly to one's left three times. Also, increase in the remembrance of Allah, seeking forgiveness, and supplication, for indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find tranquility. The one afflicted with Waswasa should pay attention when beginning an act of worship and reflect on what he is doing or saying.
