Is the sale of honey resulting from bees feeding on sugar considered deceit, given that merchants and consumers are aware of this, and that not feeding harms the bees and prevents production?

Allah has forbidden deception (ghish) and mandated sincerity (nasihah) in matters of religion and transactions. Therefore, if a seller discloses a defect in their merchandise, there is no blame upon them, as long as they do not predominantly believe that the buyer will use it to deceive others.

For this reason, feeding bees sugar to produce honey and selling it to traders who are aware of this, there is no harm in it, unless it is predominantly believed that the traders will use it to deceive consumers. In that case, it is not permissible to sell it to them.
