What is the appropriate proportion for reading other disciplines such as history, literature, and culture, if one's specialization is Islamic law?

History and literature are important for a student of Islamic knowledge, and they are considered auxiliary or complementary sciences to the main religious sciences (such as Aqidah, Fiqh, Tafsir (definition), and Hadith (definition)). Books of history and literature are a means of mental recreation and provide admonition and lessons, for the ways of Allah do not change. Moreover, literature books increase linguistic wealth. Their reading should be beneficial and not at the expense of the sciences of the Qur'an and Sunnah (definition).
