Is a woman sinful if she travels during her iddah (waiting period) from the house where her husband died to her home country, believing it is not permissible for her to reside without a mahram (unmarriageable kin), and is she obligated to return to complete her iddah in the house where it became due?

A woman observing her 'iddah (waiting period) is obligated to remain in her home until her 'iddah concludes, unless she fears harm. Her traveling without a mahram (unmarriageable kin) is not an excuse. However, since she did so out of ignorance of the ruling, we hope there is no sin upon her. She must return to her home to complete her 'iddah there if she is able to travel with a mahram. Al-Tahawi and Al-Buhuti mentioned the necessity for a woman observing 'iddah who has traveled to return to her home to complete her 'iddah there.
