ما هو الإيتار؟
Linguistically, al-itar means to make the number odd. Al-witr (with a fatha or kasra on the waw) means odd or what is not even among numbers. The meaning of al-itar in prayer and istinja' (cleansing after defecation or urination) has been previously explained in prior fatwas.
