What is the ruling on the prayer of the congregant if the Imam says the taslim, then prostrates for forgetfulness, and the congregant prostrates without saying the taslim?

If the worshipper (ma'mum) sees that the prostrations of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw) should be performed before the salutation (taslim), and he does not salute with his imam but rather waits for the imam's post-salutation prostrations and prostrates with him, then he has acted correctly based on one of the three opinions on this issue. It states in "Mughni al-Muhtaj": If a Hanafi imam salutes before performing the prostrations of forgetfulness, the worshipper (ma'mum) should prostrate before his own salutation, because the imam has separated from him by his salutation. And it was said: He follows him in prostrating after the salutation. And it was said: The worshipper does not salute, but rather waits and prostrates with the imam. As for the latecomer (masbuq), he completes his prayer independently and prostrates at the end of his prayer, and does not need the intention of separation.
