What is the ruling on a person knowing their share of inheritance from living individuals for the purpose of future planning and setting logical goals?
A person's wealth remains their property and does not transfer to heirs except after their death. Death has no known time or place; the healthy may die before the sick, the young before the old, and a child before their parent. Therefore, inquiring about the share of an inheritance that one may not be entitled to is an act of idle curiosity, futility, and a waste of time. A person will be questioned about their life and how they spent it. It is better for one not to preoccupy themselves with such matters, but rather to seek beneficial otherworldly and worldly goals, far from this imaginary thinking which may lead to wishing for the death of the living, an impermissible act of disobedience.
