What is Ibn Taymiyyah's view on intentionally delaying prayer beyond its prescribed time? Does one who intentionally delays it commit an act of disbelief (kufr) or a major sin (kabirah)? And are their deeds and fasting rendered void if the view of their disbelief is the more correct one?

According to the majority of scholars, abandoning prayer does not constitute disbelief that expels one from the faith. Consequently, their fast is not invalidated, nor are they required to renew their اسلام. Rather, they should repent to Allah, make up for missed prayers, and maintain their prayers. As for Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, he held the view that whoever abandons prayer entirely is a disbeliever, but not one who prays sometimes and abandons it sometimes. In any case, abandoning a single prayer does not expel a Muslim from the faith.
