Is it permissible to name a newborn Youssef, and is the name considered a bad omen for the child's life due to what the Prophet Youssef endured?

The name Yusuf (Joseph) is among the good names because it is the name of a Messenger of Allah. Naming with it is included in the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Name yourselves with the names of the Prophets." It is not true that naming with it is impermissible or that it is considered a bad omen.
