What is the ruling on naming a newborn Asef?

There is no objection to naming a newborn Asef if the name does not carry a forbidden meaning. What indicates the permissibility of naming with it is what came in Ibn Kathir's (exegesis), that Asef was the scribe of Sulayman (Solomon), knew the Greatest Name of Allah, and was a truthful and a believer.
