What is the authenticity of the statement that God, for a Muslim, is not only the Creator of the universe but also its Sustainer, and that the ruler is His sword and spear on Earth, and that the life of a Muslim is a divine mandate and a trial necessitating complete submission and surrender, and that seeking reasons and resorting to them harks back to the suspicion of the accursed Iblis?

It is advisable to pay attention to the texts of the two revelations (Quran and Sunnah) and to gain a deep understanding of them through accredited exegeses and commentaries on Hadith, and to seek enlightenment from the sayings of the righteous predecessors. The Muslim's duty is to believe in what is authentically established in revelation, whether he comprehends its wisdom or not. However, there is no harm in attempting to understand the wisdom, so that his faith and certainty may increase. There are two ways to ascertain wisdom: the first is for the text itself to explicitly mention it in the Quran or Sunnah, and the second is for scholars to deduce it through ijtihad (independent reasoning). Wisdom may sometimes be hidden, and what is required is submission to Allah's command.
